From our very first conversation with Tasia and James, it was clear that this celebration would never be about following trends. It would be about honoring the people, traditions, and memories that shaped them while creating an experience that felt effortlessly modern.
Every design decision was made to reflect who they are, allowing their story to guide the creative direction from beginning to end.
Designing a Wedding Around Personal Style
The most meaningful celebrations are the ones that feel unmistakably personal.
Tasia has a quiet elegance about her.
Her style is timeless and refined, balancing clean architectural lines with soft romantic details. She values family traditions just as deeply as thoughtful contemporary design, making it possible to create a celebration that honored generations before her while feeling completely fresh.
Rather than beginning with Pinterest inspiration or seasonal trends, we began with her.
That approach influenced every creative decision throughout the wedding weekend, resulting in a celebration that felt cohesive because it reflected the couple instead of the moment.
A Family Tartan Reimagined
One of the most meaningful sources of inspiration came from Tasia's family tartan.
Featuring shades of gray, brown, black, and white, the pattern represented generations of family history. Rather than displaying it in an expected way, we transformed it into custom menu backs that subtly introduced the pattern throughout the guest experience.
Each menu was paired with delicate line illustrations of La Caille, creating a stationery suite that connected the venue with the family's heritage. These quiet details became conversation pieces while adding another layer of meaning to the design.
Luxury event design isn't about adding more details. It's about ensuring every detail has a reason to exist.
Transforming La Caille's Atrium
The reception space became one of the defining moments of the celebration.
Layers of flowing white drapery softened the glass atrium overhead while evergreen branches emerged naturally through the fabric, creating the feeling of an intimate garden tucked beneath the architecture.
The installation embraced the beauty of the venue instead of competing with it, transforming the space without losing its character.
Throughout the room, rich green velvet linens grounded the design with warmth and texture. Contemporary black, white, and gold tableware introduced a refined contrast, while abundant white florals created movement without overwhelming the space.
Tall contemporary lamps added dimension and intimacy, allowing each table to glow throughout dinner and into the evening.
Rather than using traditional place cards, every guest's name was tied to their water glass with ribbon, creating an unexpected moment of discovery as guests found their seats.
Every element worked together to create a reception that felt layered, sophisticated, and deeply personal.
Fashion That Told a Family Story
Tasia's wedding wardrobe reflected the same philosophy that guided the design.
For the ceremony, she wore a timeless ball gown featuring a classic basque waist and delicate pearl detailing.
The silhouette felt elegant, understated, and perfectly suited to the setting.
Later in the evening, she changed into one of the most meaningful pieces of the entire celebration.
Her reception gown was her late mother's wedding dress, thoughtfully altered to honor its history while allowing Tasia's own style to shine through.
It was more than a wardrobe change.
It became one of the most emotional moments of the day.
Creating Space for Meaningful Moments
Every wedding timeline is carefully crafted to shape not only the day's logistics but also the emotional experience.
Tasia and James chose to share a private first look before the ceremony, giving themselves a quiet moment together before welcoming family and friends into the celebration.
