Let’s talk about the difference between full wedding planning and what people commonly refer to as a day of coordinator — and let’s clear this up from the jump. A day of coordinator doesn’t actually exist. Sure, you may only see us on one day in action, but the prep work starts long before that.
At Irene + Co, we only offer 60-day coordination because anything less just doesn’t make sense. You want someone who walks in already knowing the venue, your vendor team, your floor plan, the order of events, the emotional dynamics, and the Plan B if the weather doesn’t cooperate. That takes time and preparation, not just showing up and winging it.
So here’s the breakdown:
Full Wedding Planning is high-end, hands-on execution from start to finish. We help you find your venue, build your vendor team, track your budget, design a cohesive vision, and stay two steps ahead of every detail. From big-picture logistics to last-minute candle swaps, we’re leading the charge and managing your entire wedding journey. You lean on us for decision-making, timelines, etiquette, and creative direction. We are your people from day one.
60-Day Coordination (often mislabeled as day of) is designed for the couple who has done most of the planning themselves but wants a pro to step in and take over those final details. We come in 30 to 60 days before the wedding to review your contracts, confirm logistics with all vendors, create a final timeline, and manage the day so you can actually enjoy it. We’re not starting from scratch but we’re making sure everything you’ve planned happens the way you intended.
TLDR; If you want someone to build and lead your wedding from vision to execution, that’s full planning. If you’ve got the pieces and want someone to take over and bring it home, that’s 60-day coordination.
Either way, this is not just one day of work. It’s experience, problem-solving, communication, and production planning wrapped into one seamless service. And if you’re still unsure which one you need, let’s chat. I’m happy to help you figure out the right level of support for your love story.
