Getting Ready For Wedding Season for the Wedding Pro

How I’m Prepping for Wedding Season Now (So I Don’t Burn Out Later)

March is here, which means wedding season is about to hit full steam ahead. If you’re in the industry, you already know—once May arrives, the calendar fills up, weekends disappear, and the pace doesn’t slow until December.

That’s why I’m using this time to get ahead, get organized, and take care of myself before the busiest months of the year. Here’s how I’m setting myself up for success so I can thrive, not just survive, this wedding season.

1. Wrapping Up Wedding Plans Now

By the time May arrives, every wedding on my calendar is fully planned. That way, from May to December, I’m just executing events and handling last-minute details—not scrambling to finalize logistics. This saves me from burnout and allows me to give my couples my full attention.

2. Prioritizing Self-Care

Wedding season is a marathon, and I want to start it feeling strong, healthy, and prepared. Right now, I’m focusing on:✔️ A new hair and skincare routine✔️ Chiropractic care (my back will thank me later)✔️ Eating healthy and practicing patience✔️ Making time for silence, prayer, and meditation

Because once the season gets crazy, self-care can’t be an afterthought.

3. Finalizing My Travel Plans

With multiple destination weddings coming up, I’m booking flights, hotels, and transportation now while I have a clear head. The last thing I want is to deal with travel logistics when I’m already in full wedding mode.

4. Spending Time with My Family

Right now? This is my summer vacation. My weekends will soon be packed with weddings, so I’m soaking up every moment with my family while I can. I’m also organizing my kids’ summer schedule with camps and activities so everything runs smoothly when I’m away at events.

5. Locking In My Marketing Strategy

My focus during wedding season is my clients—not content creation. That’s why I’m batching podcast episodes, writing blog posts, and securing magazine features now so my marketing is running in the background while I’m on-site making magic happen.

6. Getting My Mind Right

Wedding season can be chaotic, and if I don’t have grounding practices in place before it starts, I’ll be scrambling to find balance when I need it most. Right now, I’m focusing on prayer, meditation, and simply taking time to be still.

Because when things get hectic, I want something to fall back on—not something I have to figure out in the moment.

Final Thoughts: How Are You Prepping?

If you’re a wedding pro, now is the time to get ahead, get organized, and take care of yourself. Wedding season moves fast, but the way you prepare now will determine how you show up when it really counts.
